CIGRE Event Summary

The CIGRE Tutorial/Seminar is again being offered on April 11th. This event will be a great lead in to the following Techcon event (12th and 13th April) and for 2016 we have been fortunate to attract three international speakers as well as some home grown expertise.

Being an ‘even’ numbered year, 2016 sees the 46th edition of the Paris Session, and this year CIGRE Australia has had 20 technical papers accepted for presentation (a record).

As with previous years, we will be offeriing two NGN scholarships for young engineers to attend and become involved. This is the pre-eminent CIGRE conference held every 2 years and provides an excellent global forum for discussing issues and challenges in the Electricty Industry.

In 2014 there were some 3500 attendees with 400 technical papers presented and over 6400 people through the exhibition space.
