Welcome to new CIGRE CEO
I am pleased to advise that Mr Peter McIntyre has commenced as CIGRE Australia’s new Chief Executive Officer. The Board and I wish Peter a warm welcome.
Peter is an experienced power system engineer and executive having been a former Managing Director of TransGrid, non-executive Director of TasNetworks, the Australian Power Institute and the Energy Networks Association. Peter also held the roles of Chief Executive Officer at Engineers Australia and most recently at the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. I would like to thank Mr Terry Killen as outgoing Chief Executive Officer for his wonderful work for CIGRE Australia over the past ten years. Our organisation is in a strong position thanks to Terry and I wish him well for the future. Terry will be transitioning the role to Peter during July and will then focus on the successful delivery of the Cairns Symposium in September, following which Terry will be leaving us.
I am hoping many of you will have the opportunity to meet Peter at the Cairns Symposium and to join us in farewelling and thanking Terry.
