By ANC, 1 May 2014

CIGRE Australia has supported science and engineering education in schools through providing funding to the STELR (Science and Technology Education Leveraging Relevance) project.

Peter Pentland,  STELR Project and Education Programme Manager from the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, recently delivered a very successful visit to Tawa College and Burnside High School (New Zealand), where students are developing their understanding of science and technical issues utilising equipment funded by CIGRE Australia. more info >

The STELR Programme is a hands-on, inquiry-based, in-curriculum program designed for Year 9 or Year 10 students, on the theme of global warming and renewable energy.  A range of directed and student-designed practical investigations are an integral part of the programme.
