CIGRE confirms Keynote Speakers for CIDER 19

CIGRE is very pleased to be able to confirm two Industry experts to deliver the KeyNote Addresses at its upcoming DER CIDER Conference  20th and 21st August in Melbourne.

DAY 1 - 20th August

Executive General Manager, Emerging Markets and Services, Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO)

Violette’s current role of Executive General Manager of Emerging Markets and Services includes the responsibility for strategies relating to AEMO’s Distributed Energy Resources program and data initiatives, including Consumer Data Right in energy.  

Violette will present on  some of the work that AEMO has been carring out in the DER space and a view on the challenges that DER is presenting to the market operator.

DAY 2 - 21st August

Entrepreneurial Fellow and Head, Battery Storage and Grid Integration Program

Dr Blackhall is Entrepreneurial Fellow and Head, Battery Storage and Grid Integration Program at The Australian National University. Previously, Dr Blackhall led the development of capabilities to monitor, optimise and control residential solar generation and battery storage, as well as the development of virtual power plant technology to aggregate energy storage to deliver services to energy networks, markets and utilities.
