In the Loop – empowering and informing the industry

Welcome to 'In the Loop', CIGRE Australia’s new email-based news update for senior industry leaders.

This is the first edition of 'In the Loop', which will be a quarterly publication supported by our new public website and information centre (www.cigreaustralia.org.au).  It is one of the initiatives arising from an extensive review of Cigré activities within Australia and is part of our wider programme to aid in empowering Australia’s power industry professionals.

The goal of the update is to connect the know-how of CIGRE with the current issues leaders are dealing with in Australia.  So each issue of ‘In the Loop’ will typically feature three or four articles from the CIGRE network that we believe will be of interest to member organisations and the industry in general. These articles will relate to a range of key areas but, in particular, the top 10 issues that we recently identified in consultation with members and industry leaders.

The style of 'In the Loop' will be short and to the point and is intended for both technical and non-technical audiences.  The general format will be a single page email with a short introduction to the articles. Clicking on the email introduction will take you to a more detailed summary of the article.  The full paper or report will be available via a link to CIGRE members.

'In the Loop' is distributed by subscription.  Please feel free to pass it on to others that may be interested or, of course, if you do not wish to receive any further editions, just let us know.
