CIGRE Events - 2017

CIGRE Transformer Workshop - Dealing with the Unforeseen- an interactive workshop.

CIGRE have previously run a CIGRE tutorial the day prior to the Techcon in Sydney.  For 2017 we are looking to run the day as an interactive learning workshop with expert input and case study on transformer management and related issues covering the whole gamut from insurance, legal, relationship as well as technical issues involved in the management of transformers -presented by CIGRE's A2 panel.

The program is still being developed, but information will be available toward the end of January 2017

Abstracts for papers have now been finalised and the proposed program posted on the event website.

SEAPAC in now in its 6th edition and has become the go to regional conference on protection, automation and control.

Since its inception in 2007 it has continued to grow and attract a professional topic focused audience offering quality papers and presentations addressing contemporary issues.

The conference provides a unique opportunity to discuss technical issues and challenges in this space with professionals and experts who have real world hands on
experience.

In 2015, the conference saw:

• 135 delegates
• 17 Exhibitors & Sponsors
• 38 papers

In response to feedback and demand, in 2017, we have a bigger venue in Melbourne which will cater for more exhibition and delegate space than in 2015. Our aim is to fill
this space and attract more delegates from across the Pacific region. Again, following delegate feedback, we are maintaining the same format as in 2015
including the informal ‘stand up’ networking dinner on the first night. This ‘dinner’ is held within the exhibition space, providing delegates direct access to sponsors and
exhibitors for the entire evening.

This year we are fortunate to also have Mr, Nino Ficca, Managing Director of AusNet Services and Chairman of Energy Networks Australia, delivering the keynote address on ‘Current Challenges and future pathways for the Industry’.

We also have had strong Industry backing to date with some great sponsors supporting us - S&C Electric and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) taking on our premium Gold sponsorship and Omicron, DT Partners, RMS Mors Smitt, Siemens, Schneider Electric, CSE Uniserve and Dynamic Ratings supporting us through Silver sponsorship.

More detail on SEAPAC and links through to sponsor sites can be found in this news item.

Registrations are now open with the Early Bird pricing closing at the end of January 2017.
